Privacy Policy

The Interchange is a news link site covering rail, trucking, liquid bulk, hazmat and energy. We don't ask you to sign up, and we don't collect your name, email or other personal details to read the site.

What gets collected

• Server logs. Our host, Netlify, records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit. This is used to run and secure the site and to count overall traffic.
• Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when the page loads.
• No tracking cookies. The site does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies.

Links to other sites

Almost everything here links out to the original publisher. Once you click through, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Donations

If you choose to support the site, payment is handled by a third-party processor. We receive your name and the amount if the processor shares them, but never your card or bank details. Donations support a for-profit publication and are not tax-deductible.

Advertising

The site may carry advertising in the future. Sponsored placements will be labeled as such. If we add an ad network or analytics tool that uses cookies, this policy will be updated first, and visitors will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Children

The Interchange is written for industry professionals and is not directed to children under 13.

We'll post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
